Who you are

You are an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in the design and development of consumer electronics. You have a deep understanding of mechanical design fields and are curious about state-of-the-art mechanical designs and technologies. You are skilled in defining and leading module mechanical architecture based on cross-functional requirements, ensuring that all aspects of fit, assembly features, and tolerance analyses are met. You have a proven track record of achieving system goals through mechanical design optimization and prototyping, and you are familiar with new material qualification and manufacturing processes.

You have experience auditing factories to review manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring high yield and quality. You are adept at defining and implementing validation plans for mechanical engineering characteristics of display modules using scientific and analytical approaches. You are also capable of driving detailed failure analyses for any engineering issues that arise, demonstrating your problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative display modules that will be integrated into Apple's future products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the mechanical architecture of display modules, ensuring that all optical, electrical, and mechanical requirements are met. You will lead the optimization of mechanical designs to enhance display performance and enable compact system designs. Your work will involve creating detailed specifications, including 3D and 2D designs, to guide the manufacturing process.

You will also be tasked with prototyping new designs and conducting thorough testing to validate their performance. This includes defining validation plans and conducting failure analyses to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the development process. Your role will require you to work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that all designs are feasible and can be produced at scale while maintaining high quality standards.
