Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering with at least 3 years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines — you've worked with data lakes and understand the importance of data governance and quality. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring that data is accurate and accessible for decision-making.

You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience with tools like Apache Spark and Airflow for data processing and orchestration — you understand how to leverage these technologies to create efficient data workflows. Your analytical mindset enables you to derive insights from complex data sets, and you are comfortable presenting your findings to stakeholders.

What you'll do

As an Analytics Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines that support the Siri Quality Engineering team — your work will ensure that data is curated, accurate, and reliable for various analytics needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and advocate for the necessary changes to improve data quality and accessibility.

You will build a governed lakehouse architecture that supports point-in-time and near-real-time data processing — this involves creating a clear semantic layer that allows teams to trust and utilize the data effectively. Your role will also include publishing certified metrics and models that are used in executive-facing reports, contributing to the overall product quality and decision-making processes across Apple platforms.
