Who you are
You have a strong background in power modeling and a passion for optimizing silicon designs β your experience includes working with various IPs, including AI/ML accelerators and understanding power delivery systems. You possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively across multiple teams, including architecture, design, and validation. Your technical expertise allows you to establish voltage-frequency operating points and model power dissipation accurately.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, where you can contribute to innovative solutions that impact millions of customers. Your analytical mindset helps you correlate models with hardware data, ensuring that the designs meet performance and efficiency standards. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of power rails and peak current requirements for complex SOC designs.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for modeling power dissipation and power delivery for various IPs within Appleβs SOCs. You will establish voltages for DVFM states of critical components, including Neural Engines and CPUs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the optimization of leading-edge chips, focusing on power efficiency and performance metrics.
You will also engage in hardware/model correlation efforts, working closely with silicon characterization and validation teams to ensure that your models align with real-world data. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the development of innovative products that enhance user experiences across Appleβs product lineup. You will have the opportunity to influence the design and implementation of state-of-the-art ASICs, driving advancements in power efficiency and performance.
