Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in hardware engineering with a focus on power modeling and ASIC design. Your experience includes working with power dissipation modeling for various IPs, including AI/ML accelerators, CPUs, and graphics components. You possess excellent communication skills and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize silicon performance.
You are familiar with voltage-frequency operating points and have a keen understanding of power delivery systems. Your analytical mindset allows you to generate insights into silicon optimization, and you thrive in environments where innovation is encouraged. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for crafting new solutions that enhance product performance.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for modeling power dissipation and power delivery for upcoming generations of Apple SOCs. You will establish voltages for DVFM states of various IPs, including Neural Engines and compute accelerators. Collaborating with architecture, design, thermals, PMIC, and system design teams, you will model power and current profiles to ensure optimal performance.
You will also partner with lab and silicon characterization teams to correlate your models with hardware data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in your power models. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the optimization of leading-edge chips for power efficiency, impacting millions of Apple customers worldwide.
