Who you are

You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in the industry, ideally with a focus on power analysis and optimization. Your familiarity with machine learning algorithms and programming allows you to explore innovative solutions for SOC power efficiency. You are comfortable scripting in Python and have a solid understanding of ASIC power concepts, enabling you to contribute effectively to the team.

Your collaborative spirit shines as you work with SOC power team members to automate power analysis and optimization tasks. You are proactive in exploring new methodologies to analyze power data and create metrics that identify optimization opportunities. You thrive in a team environment, sharing insights and driving improvements in efficiency and runtime.

Desirable

An MSEE is preferred, as it provides a deeper understanding of the technical challenges you will face. Your experience with machine learning approaches will be beneficial as you work on training data preparation and research ML-based solutions for power simulation and modeling.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the automation of SOC power optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy power optimization automation, ensuring that the methodologies you develop improve SOC power efficiency across various IPs. Your work will involve reviewing results and continuously improving the methodologies to enhance efficiency and runtime.

You will explore machine learning techniques to optimize SOC power, working closely with team members to prepare training data and research innovative solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the design and performance of Apple's products, bringing imaginative ideas to reality.
