Who you are
You have 4+ years of experience working in OS Performance, demonstrating a strong understanding of low-level hardware-software interactions. Your expertise in analyzing performance metrics and optimizing software for hardware is complemented by your ability to work cross-functionally with various engineering teams.
Your background includes proficiency in C and C++, allowing you to write efficient code that enhances the performance of home entertainment systems. You thrive in a technically demanding environment and are adept at quickly adapting to changing project requirements.
What you'll do
As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will analyze the performance of tvOS for HomePod and Apple TV, focusing on memory footprint, video and audio performance, and interactive responsiveness. You will collaborate with engineers from Core OS, hardware engineering, HomeKit, and audio and video engineering teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
You will be responsible for identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance the overall performance of Appleβs home entertainment products. Your role will involve writing and optimizing code, conducting performance tests, and providing insights to improve system efficiency.
