Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience in product design, ideally with a focus on accessories or consumer electronics. Your background in Mechanical Engineering equips you with the technical knowledge to tackle complex design challenges. You have demonstrated expertise in plastic and metal part design, ensuring that your designs are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Your proficiency in 3-D CAD software allows you to create detailed models and prototypes that bring your ideas to life. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with teams across various disciplines including Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, and Software. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of customer experience in product design. You are open to international travel, as this role may require it occasionally.
What you'll do
As a Product Design Engineer on the Beats Accessories team, you will be responsible for conceiving and designing a diverse array of accessory products. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams to define product objectives and design solutions that meet those objectives. Your role will involve validating the performance of your designs through mass production, ensuring that every detail aligns with Apple's high standards.
