What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for bringing innovative iPad designs to market by leveraging your mechanical design engineering expertise. You will collaborate with various departments, including Industrial Design and Product Integrity, to ensure that the product vision is executed flawlessly. Your work will involve utilizing 2D and 3D CAD tools to communicate design intent and inspection requirements, as well as conducting stress and tolerance analysis to ensure product quality.

You will engage with outside vendors and internal manufacturing experts to optimize designs for both function and aesthetic appeal. Your ability to develop deep technical knowledge in areas outside your expertise will help you understand other teams' design constraints and contribute to crafting creative solutions. Throughout the product lifecycle, you will ensure that fit, form, and function are maintained, ultimately delivering products that meet Apple's high standards of excellence.
