You have a strong background in mechanical design engineering, with experience in utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to communicate design intent effectively. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, including Industrial Design and Manufacturing, allows you to refine and execute product visions successfully. You possess a deep technical knowledge that enables you to understand design constraints and craft creative solutions to complex technical problems. Desirable
Experience working with manufacturing processes and collaborating with outside vendors to optimize designs for function and aesthetic appeal is a plus. Familiarity with stress and tolerance analysis will enhance your ability to ensure fit, form, and function throughout the product lifecycle.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the iPad Product Design Team, where you will leverage your mechanical design engineering skills to bring innovative products to market. You will negotiate and collaborate with various departments to refine product visions and ensure that designs meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. Your role will involve developing deep technical knowledge in areas outside your expertise, allowing you to understand other teams' design constraints and contribute to crafting creative solutions. You will utilize 2D and 3D CAD tools to communicate design intent and inspection requirements effectively. Throughout the product lifecycle, you will ensure that fit, form, and function are maintained through rigorous stress and tolerance analysis.
