Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in program management, particularly in cloud systems and capacity operations — you've successfully led projects that required collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams. Your background includes a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and the tools necessary for capacity planning and resource optimization.
You possess deep expertise in AWS and have hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes — you understand how to leverage these technologies to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. Your analytical skills enable you to drive data-informed decisions that align with business objectives.
You are a strong communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders — your ability to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams has been key to your success in previous roles. You thrive in environments that require flexibility and adaptability, and you are committed to delivering high-quality results.
Desirable
Experience with cloud service providers beyond AWS, such as Azure or Google Cloud, would be a plus — familiarity with capacity management tools and methodologies is also beneficial. You have a keen interest in emerging technologies and are always looking for ways to innovate and improve processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the capacity management and operations program for Apple's cloud services infrastructure — your primary responsibility will be to build systems and processes that enable efficient scaling of Apple's infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop operational workflows and capacity planning tools that support a variety of services, including data services and compute systems.
You will drive the roadmap for capacity planning initiatives, ensuring that resource optimization aligns with Apple's strategic goals — this includes analyzing current infrastructure needs and forecasting future requirements based on service demand. Your role will involve regular communication with product and business teams to ensure that operational capabilities meet the evolving needs of Apple's services.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on capacity metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency — your insights will directly impact the performance and reliability of Apple's services across the globe.
