Who you are
You have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. With 3 years of experience in defining test plans and creating test cases based on technical specifications, you are well-versed in the intricacies of quality assurance. Your expertise includes validating and testing products, particularly in Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, and Wireless RF protocols, ensuring that you understand the technical details that impact user experience.
You have developed testing scripts using Python, Perl, or similar languages for at least a year, showcasing your ability to automate testing processes effectively. Your strong analytical skills enable you to identify root causes of issues and collaborate with development teams to drive quality and champion bug fixes. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent documentation skills, which are essential for maintaining reports of automation issues and test results.
What you'll do
In this role, you will join the Sensing and Connectivity team at Apple, where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining innovative connectivity solutions. You will build creative solutions for testing current and next-generation products, ensuring that they meet the highest quality standards. Your role will involve driving quality initiatives and working closely with the development team to analyze and resolve issues.
You will design comprehensive test plans for new features, factoring in both technical details and the customer experience. Developing test automation scripts using Python will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will performing regular maintenance and debugging of test setups and scripts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation feature requests, ensuring that the testing process is efficient and effective.
