What you'll do
As a Senior Security Software Engineer, you will be embedded within Apple’s Security Engineering & Architecture organization, contributing to the Secure Transports team. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop secure protocols that protect data across all of Apple’s products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, and more. You will collaborate with various teams, including Silicon Engineering and Cloud Services, to ensure that security is a foundational aspect of product design.
You will have the opportunity to impact the design and implementation of Apple’s operating systems, working from the kernel up through libraries and applications. Your role will involve writing high-quality code, conducting thorough testing, and participating in code reviews to maintain the integrity of security protocols. You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging to resolve security-related issues, ensuring that Apple’s products remain secure and reliable.
In addition to your technical contributions, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of security awareness within the team. You will participate in security assessments and audits, helping to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Your work will directly contribute to Apple’s mission of providing the most secure operating system in the world, impacting millions of users globally.
