You are passionate about foundation model post-training and have a keen interest in developing innovative training recipes that enhance model performance. What you'll do

In this role, you will focus on transforming powerful pre-trained checkpoints into high-quality models that enhance the functionality of billions of Apple products. Your work will involve defining training recipes that turn base models into highly capable assistants, addressing some of the most challenging problems in foundation model post-training.

You will conduct research into existing and novel training data mixes, algorithms, and evaluation methodologies, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that improve model performance. Collaborating with your team, you will tackle complex challenges and drive breakthroughs in model adaptation and steering.

Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various post-training techniques. You will analyze results and iterate on your approaches to ensure the highest quality outcomes.
