Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in cloud networking and reliability engineering, with a strong background in building and operating large-scale, software-defined networking platforms. You are a technical leader who excels at solving complex networking challenges at massive scale, and you have a deep understanding of network architecture and design principles. Your expertise in observability and automation allows you to champion data-driven decision-making, ensuring that network services meet demanding availability and security requirements.
You are proficient in cloud technologies and have hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to architect fault-tolerant network control and data planes, and you are familiar with best practices in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Software Engineering (SWE). You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver high-quality network solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will define and drive the reliability and resiliency architecture for Apple's network platform services. You will be responsible for establishing best practices in SRE and SWE, ensuring that Apple's network services operate reliably across multiple cloud providers and global regions. Your technical leadership will guide the team in handling failures gracefully while maintaining service availability.
You will work on driving resilient cloud networking solutions, focusing on performance, scalability, and operational maturity. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement observability tools and automation processes that enhance the reliability of network services.
