You have a proven track record in data infrastructure and platform design, with at least 5+ years of experience in building scalable systems that support analytics and machine learning workloads. What you'll do
As a Principal Engineer on the Apple Data Platform team, you will lead the planning and execution of technical projects that enhance the infrastructure for data ingestion, storage, and processing. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including analytics and machine learning, to ensure that the platform meets the evolving needs of Appleβs products and services.
Your role will involve guiding the technical direction of the team, ensuring that best practices are followed in the design and implementation of data solutions. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers.
You will work on a fully managed Lakehouse solution powered by Apache Iceberg, facilitating interactive querying with Trino and Druid, and processing data using Apache Spark and Flink. Your contributions will directly impact key products and organizations within Apple, including Siri, Search, and iCloud.
