Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in silicon validation with at least 5 years of experience in system validation — you understand the critical interaction between pre-silicon design and post-silicon validation, ensuring quality products are shipped. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence drive you to achieve extraordinary results in your work. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with IC design teams, FPGA emulation teams, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and debugging of system-level issues.

You possess a deep understanding of validation processes and have experience developing comprehensive validation plans tailored to custom silicon. Your technical skills include proficiency in FPGA platforms and automation software, allowing you to validate tests effectively and efficiently. You are adept at defining and executing validation plans, ensuring that all aspects of the silicon are thoroughly tested before mass production.

Your experience includes defining custom board-level hardware for IC bring-up and test, showcasing your ability to bridge the gap between hardware and software. You are comfortable working with complex systems and have a knack for troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise during the validation process. Your passion for technology and innovation drives you to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.

Desirable

Experience with wireless sub-systems and familiarity with industry-standard validation tools would be a plus. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your validation processes and contribute to the team's success.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the pre/post-silicon bring-up, debug, and validation of wireless sub-systems. You will develop and implement comprehensive validation plans based on custom silicon, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. Your work will involve validating tests using real-time FPGA emulation platforms, allowing you to simulate and test various scenarios before production.

You will collaborate closely with IC design teams to define the necessary hardware for IC bring-up and testing, ensuring that all components are integrated smoothly. Your role will also include defining and executing validation plans, working with module and system teams to support their design integration and debug system-level issues. You will be expected to develop automation software and scripts for measurement, streamlining the validation process and improving efficiency.

Your contributions will play a crucial role in driving execution from the first silicon through to mass production release, ensuring that Apple continues to deliver high-quality products to its customers. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and excellence, and your insights will help shape the future of Apple's technology.
