Overview
Apple is seeking a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer to work on pre/post-silicon validation of wireless sub-systems. You'll collaborate with IC design and firmware teams, utilizing skills in FPGA and automation. This role requires experience in system validation.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in silicon validation with at least 5 years of experience in system validation — you understand the critical interaction between pre-silicon design and post-silicon validation, ensuring quality products are shipped. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence drive you to achieve extraordinary results in your work. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with IC design teams, FPGA emulation teams, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and debugging of system-level issues.
You possess expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive validation plans tailored to custom silicon — your experience with real-time FPGA emulation platforms allows you to validate tests effectively. You are skilled in developing automation software and scripts for measurement, enhancing the efficiency of validation processes. Your problem-solving abilities enable you to tackle complex challenges in silicon validation, ensuring that all aspects of the system are thoroughly tested and validated.
Desirable
Experience with custom board-level hardware design for IC bring-up and test is a plus — you are familiar with defining and executing validation plans that align with product requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that you can support design integration and debug issues collaboratively. You are passionate about working on groundbreaking technologies that lead to innovative products and services.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the pre/post-silicon bring-up, debug, and validation of wireless sub-systems — your contributions will be vital in driving execution from the first silicon through to mass-production release. You will participate in defining custom board-level hardware for IC bring-up and test, ensuring that all components are validated against rigorous standards. Your role will involve developing and implementing comprehensive validation plans that address the unique requirements of our custom silicon.
You will validate tests using real-time FPGA emulation platforms, ensuring that all aspects of the system are thoroughly tested before mass production. Your expertise in automation will be crucial as you develop software and scripts that streamline measurement processes, enhancing the overall efficiency of validation efforts. You will work closely with module and system teams to support their design integration and assist in debugging system-level issues, ensuring that all products meet Apple's high standards for quality and performance.
What we offer
At Apple, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to innovation and excellence — we foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of our products and services. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value curiosity and a growth mindset.
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional development and career growth. Join us in our mission to create extraordinary products and experiences that enrich people's lives.
