Apple is hiring a SoC Validation Engineer to focus on silicon validation and debugging for Apple SoCs. You'll work closely with functional test writers and execute system tests using automation frameworks. This position requires experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Tcl.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in silicon validation and debugging, with experience in working with system workloads. You understand high-level architectures of IP blocks within SoCs and can define applicable validation plans. Your expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl allows you to automate tests effectively.
You are detail-oriented and capable of identifying potential issues in silicon designs. Your analytical skills enable you to triage issues and isolate failures efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with domain experts to ensure the highest quality in silicon validation processes.
What you'll do
As a SoC Validation Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for validating Apple SoCs using system workloads. You will execute system tests through scripts and automation frameworks, focusing on large volumes of prototype SoCs across various Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) corners. Your role will involve characterizing the functional voltage of SoCs under these workloads and identifying any potential issues.
You will collaborate with functional test writers to understand the architectures of each IP block and define validation plans accordingly. When issues arise, you will be the first line of defense, debugging and isolating failures to ensure the reliability of Appleβs silicon products. Your contributions will play a crucial role in delivering groundbreaking Apple products that redefine industries.
