You have a strong background in silicon validation and debugging, with experience in working closely with functional test writers to understand high-level architectures of IP blocks within SoCs. Your expertise includes defining applicable validation plans and executing system tests through scripts and automation frameworks. You are skilled in identifying potential issues and characterizing functional voltages under various workloads. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working with domain experts to ensure the highest quality of silicon products.
You possess proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl, which you utilize to automate testing processes and enhance validation efficiency. Your analytical mindset allows you to triage issues effectively and isolate failures, ensuring that the silicon meets Apple's high standards. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
As a SoC Validation Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for validating Apple SoCs using system workloads. You will collaborate with functional test writers to define and execute validation plans, ensuring that all aspects of the silicon are thoroughly tested. Your role will involve running tests across various Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) corners, identifying any potential issues that may arise during testing.
You will be the first line of defense when issues occur, utilizing your debugging skills to triage and isolate failures effectively. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of Apple's silicon products, impacting the performance of future devices.
