Who you are
You have a strong background in software development, with expertise in at least one layer such as embedded systems, UI, or server-side applications. You understand how data influences decision making in software development and are eager to learn new technologies that can enhance application performance. Your experience may include working on performance optimization techniques and designing performant applications for platforms like iOS, macOS, tvOS, or watchOS.
You are ambitious and have a keen interest in understanding the entire software stack and the flow of information within it. You thrive in collaborative environments and are excited about the opportunity to engage with third-party developers, providing them with the tools and data they need to create high-performing applications. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a strong understanding of usability and cross-platform compatibility.
Desirable
Experience with performance analysis tools and techniques is a plus, as is familiarity with debugging performance issues across operating systems. You may also have a background in data processing and server infrastructure, which will be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work closely with the OS Performance Tools team to model various aspects of Apple's operating systems, enabling teams to tackle complex performance challenges.
