You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, and you possess a solid understanding of AI and machine learning principles. Your experience includes optimizing workloads and analyzing performance bottlenecks in both hardware and software environments. You are skilled in Python and have hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks, which allows you to create optimized implementations for Apple Silicon.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers across various teams to drive performance enhancements. Your analytical mindset enables you to identify patterns in performance challenges and provide actionable feedback to improve Appleβs hardware and software. What you'll do
In this role, you will conduct performance studies to inform and validate architecture decisions, ensuring that Appleβs technologies work seamlessly together. You will create optimized implementations of machine learning workloads on Apple Silicon, leveraging the capabilities of the Neural Engine, GPU, and CPU. Collaborating with system teams, you will develop performance models for emerging AI/ML techniques and analyze system architecture trade-offs to enhance overall performance.
You will also work with software development tools teams to deliver performance analysis instruments and optimized libraries and frameworks for AI/ML applications. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of Appleβs systems, making a significant difference in how users experience Apple products.
