Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in Unix-based systems and are proficient in Python, which allows you to effectively contribute to the testing infrastructure for WebKit. Your organizational and interpersonal skills enable you to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, ensuring that testing processes run smoothly. You possess a solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which is crucial for identifying and resolving regressions in the browser engine. Additionally, your knowledge of compiled languages such as C++, Objective-C, and Swift enhances your ability to work with various components of the software. You have experience with software development tools like Git and are familiar with continuous integration systems, which are essential for maintaining high-quality code.

Desirable

While not required, experience contributing to large-scale open source software projects is a plus, as it demonstrates your ability to collaborate in diverse environments. Familiarity with software development tools such as bash, make, and Xcode will further strengthen your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a WebKit Test Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for building systems that create, triage, and route detailed bug reports for test failures. Your role will involve improving the stability and performance of the testing infrastructure, ensuring that WebKit engineers can make innovative changes safely. You will work closely with the Continuous Integration team to develop tools and processes that monitor build and test results at scale. This includes identifying regressions through test automation and enhancing the overall test coverage and throughput. You will also manage the resolution of problems identified through testing, collaborating with various teams to ensure timely fixes and improvements.
