You have a strong background in embedded systems and software development, particularly with Embedded Linux. Your experience includes working on hardware-software integration and ensuring that software runs reliably in remote environments. You are comfortable with deploying software to devices in the field and have a keen understanding of the challenges involved in edge computing.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including machine learning engineers. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges, and you are passionate about using technology to make a positive impact on sustainability in aquaculture.
What you'll do
As an Embedded Software Engineer at Aquabyte, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the software that powers our underwater cameras. This includes working on the Linux build process and ensuring that our software can be safely deployed to devices in various locations, including fish farms around the world. You will collaborate with the machine learning team to transition algorithms from the cloud to the edge, ensuring they operate efficiently in real-time.
You will also be involved in troubleshooting and debugging software issues that arise in the field, working to ensure that our systems are robust and reliable. Your role will require occasional travel to locations such as Norway and Chile, where you will gain firsthand experience of the environments in which our technology operates.
