You are a curious and collaborative student currently studying at a college or university, eager to dive into the world of product design. You have a creative mindset and are excited about solving complex problems through design. You thrive in team environments and are motivated to learn from experienced mentors in the field. Your passion for design is matched by your desire to contribute to meaningful projects that enhance teamwork and productivity.
You possess a foundational understanding of design principles and tools, particularly Figma, which you are eager to apply in real-world scenarios. You are open to feedback and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, including Engineering, User Research, and Product Management. You are committed to developing your skills and growing as a designer during your internship.
Desirable
Experience with design projects, whether through coursework or personal initiatives, is a plus. Familiarity with user-centered design principles and a portfolio showcasing your design work would be beneficial. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn will help you succeed in this role.
What you'll do
As a Product Design Intern at Asana, you will engage in a 12-week summer internship program where you will work closely with dedicated Design mentors. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly experiences that align with Asana's mission to help teams work together effortlessly. Your responsibilities will include participating in design discussions, conducting user research, and iterating on design concepts based on feedback.
You will be involved in the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring that your designs are not only visually appealing but also functional and user-centric. You will learn how to balance creativity with practicality, understanding the importance of data insights and peer feedback in the design process. Throughout your internship, you will gain valuable experience in working within a collaborative design environment, enhancing your skills and building your professional network.
