You possess a strong understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS, and have experience with containerization technologies like Docker. Your familiarity with databases, especially PostgreSQL, enables you to optimize data storage and retrieval processes effectively. You are comfortable working with REST APIs and have a keen eye for performance improvements.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product, infrastructure, and data teams to deliver new capabilities and enhance existing systems. Your ability to mentor and lead others is evident, as you enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping junior engineers grow in their careers.

Desirable

Experience with machine learning frameworks and data-driven decision-making processes is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira can help you navigate project management effectively.

What you'll do

As a Staff Backend Engineer at Assured, you will own major areas of our backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient. Your role will involve hands-on coding, system optimization, and performance tuning to meet the demands of our customers.

You will be responsible for implementing best practices in software development, including code reviews and testing strategies, to maintain high-quality standards. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of claims processing for some of the largest insurers in the world, making a significant difference in the industry.
