Your expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and optimization for backend deployments ensures that you can deliver high-quality software efficiently.

Familiarity with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi is second nature to you — you understand how to leverage these technologies to create scalable and maintainable infrastructure. Your strong code quality, testing, and observability practices mean that you prioritize reliability and performance in your work.

Hands-on experience with Rust is a key asset in your toolkit — you appreciate the nuances of this language and how it can be applied to build robust backend systems. You have a demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms, which aligns with Phantom's mission to revolutionize the crypto ecosystem.

What you'll do

As a Staff Backend Engineer at Phantom, you'll play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our backend systems and infrastructure. Your focus will be on developing high-volume, high-availability solutions that meet the complex needs of our users. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our backend services are reliable and performant.

You will lead initiatives to enhance our development experience (DevEx) by implementing paved path and service standards that streamline our engineering processes. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience of our self-custodial wallet, which empowers millions of users to manage their crypto assets securely.

In this role, you will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers. You will be responsible for driving best practices in code quality and testing, ensuring that our backend systems are built to last. Your work will be instrumental in maintaining Phantom's position as a leader in the crypto space.
