What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer on the Ground Networks team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing systems that process data from deployed hardware and facilitate the operation of our ground stations. You will collaborate with full stack engineers, embedded engineers, and mission operators to ensure that our satellite systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Your work will directly support satellite launches and fleet operations, contributing to the success of our commercial and government programs.
You will be responsible for owning critical backend components, ensuring they are reliable and scalable. This includes writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold high standards of quality. You will also engage in system architecture discussions, helping to shape the direction of our technology stack and infrastructure.
In addition to development work, you will participate in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions. Your contributions will help millions of people gain affordable internet access, making a real difference in the world.
