You are detail-oriented and capable of performing spacecraft-level design tasks such as waveguide routing and panel configuration. While experience with spacecraft is a benefit, your strong CAD skills are the primary focus for this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior CAD Engineer at Astranis, you will take a leadership role in the design and configuration of our spacecraft. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining design methods and best practices, as well as teaching these to other team members. You will perform spacecraft-level design tasks, ensuring that all configurations meet the stringent requirements of our sophisticated customers. Your role will involve managing the documentation and processes used to transfer designs to production, ensuring that all aspects of the spacecraft are accurately represented and communicated.

You will collaborate closely with vehicle engineering, production, and supply chain teams to manage spacecraft bills of material and change orders. This collaboration is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the design throughout the production process.
