Who you are
You have a strong background in security engineering with experience in implementing and managing security solutions across multi-cloud environments. Your expertise includes working with AWS, Azure, and GCP, and you are familiar with the latest security practices and technologies. You are passionate about building secure systems and have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into the development lifecycle. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key strength, allowing you to advocate for security measures effectively.
You are experienced in using AI and ML to drive operational efficiencies and automate security processes, making you a valuable asset to any security team. Your analytical mindset helps you to investigate security events and incidents, ensuring that you can respond swiftly and effectively to any threats.
Desirable
Experience with incident response workflows and familiarity with SOC operations would be beneficial. Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards is a plus, as is any relevant security certification.
What you'll do
In this role, you will implement, maintain, and upgrade security infrastructure to monitor and respond to security events. You will engage with engineering teams to assist in designing and implementing secure cloud workloads and orchestration platforms. Your work will involve driving operational efficiencies through the application of AI and ML, transforming processes to enhance security measures.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is a priority in all aspects of product development. This includes conducting risk assessments and providing guidance on security best practices. You will also be responsible for performing investigations into security incidents and supporting incident response efforts.
Your contributions will help Astronomer maintain a secure environment for its data operations, ensuring that the company can continue to empower data teams effectively. You will report to the Head of Security Engineering and be part of a team dedicated to innovation in security solutions.
