Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in DevOps engineering, particularly with GitHub migration projects — you've successfully migrated repositories from platforms like GitHub Enterprise Server, BitBucket, or GitLab to GitHub Enterprise Cloud. Your technical expertise includes a strong understanding of Git and its associated workflows, enabling you to navigate complex migration scenarios with ease.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with client engineering teams — your ability to communicate effectively ensures that migration strategies are well-defined and executed smoothly. You thrive in environments where you can leverage your technical skills to enhance operational agility and security.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support GitHub Enterprise Cloud migration projects, working directly with client engineering teams to facilitate the migration of repositories. You will help define a scalable migration strategy that aligns with best practices and client needs. Your responsibilities will include assessing existing repositories, planning migration timelines, and executing the migration process while minimizing downtime.

You will also be involved in troubleshooting any issues that arise during the migration process, ensuring that all repositories are successfully transitioned to the new platform. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest GitHub features and best practices to provide clients with the most effective solutions.
