You have a strong background in machine learning and AI, with a proven track record of deploying models in edge environments. Your experience includes optimizing models for devices with limited memory and connectivity, ensuring that AI features are both reliable and efficient. You are comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including scientists and device engineers, to bring innovative AI capabilities to life.

You possess deep knowledge of the AI lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment. Your technical skills include proficiency in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras, which you have used to build and optimize machine learning models. You are also familiar with various applications of AI, including Automatic License Plate Recognition, Object Tracking, and Automatic Speech Recognition.

What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II at Axon, you will play a key role in architecting and implementing AI solutions that enhance the functionality of Axon's products. You will collaborate closely with scientists and device engineers to develop new AI capabilities, ensuring that they are safe, secure, and reliable. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness of Axon's devices in addressing critical safety and justice issues.

You will be responsible for optimizing machine learning models for deployment on edge devices, which requires a deep understanding of the constraints and challenges associated with limited resources. You will also engage in the full AI lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team. You will mentor junior engineers and share best practices in machine learning and AI development.
