Who you are

You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and developing mechanical systems. You are proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, allowing you to create detailed engineering drawings and models. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you work closely with product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs meet both functional and safety requirements. You are committed to continuous improvement and are eager to contribute to projects that have a meaningful impact on public safety.

Desirable

Experience with prototyping and testing mechanical systems is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory standards in product safety. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Engineer II at Axon, you will take ownership of the design process for next-generation life-saving technology. You will be involved in all stages of product development, from initial concept through to production, ensuring that your designs are not only innovative but also practical and manufacturable. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback, iterating on designs based on input from various stakeholders. Your role will also involve conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges early in the design process.

You will participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
