You have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in designing and implementing complex systems that require secure and compliant integrations. You understand the importance of building reliable and auditable systems, especially in the context of law enforcement and public safety. Your ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders is essential, as you will be connecting Axon Records to various external databases and partners.

You are comfortable navigating the complexities of laws and regulations that govern the integration of law enforcement data.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer I at Axon, you will take ownership of the design and evolution of systems that connect Axon Records to external law enforcement databases. You will lead the development of secure and compliant integrations with NCIC and other state and federal databases. Your role will involve creating partner-facing APIs that expose Axon Records data to CAD vendors and internal Axon systems, ensuring that these systems are correct, reliable, and resilient.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems you develop meet the needs of public safety officers and enhance their ability to protect communities. Your work will directly contribute to reducing the amount of time officers spend on paperwork, allowing them to focus more on their critical duties in the field.
