You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining infrastructure systems that support product development. Your expertise in cloud technologies and automation tools has equipped you to optimize CI/CD pipelines and enhance developer experience. You thrive in collaborative environments, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Your deep understanding of AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, such as Terraform or AWS CDK, allows you to create scalable and secure cloud environments. You are passionate about observability and have experience implementing monitoring solutions that ensure system reliability and performance. You are a proactive problem solver, always looking for ways to reduce deployment friction and manual overhead in engineering processes.

You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to driving real change and take ownership of your work, understanding the impact it has on the mission of protecting life through technology. Desirable

Experience with CI/CD tools and practices is a plus, as is familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. A background in security best practices for cloud infrastructure will also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Dedrone Infrastructure Services team, you will own the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines that support Dedrone’s distributed product ecosystem. Your work will focus on reducing build times and deployment friction while ensuring a seamless developer experience. You will build, automate, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, ensuring that cloud environments are scalable, secure, and reusable.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary tooling and infrastructure support. Your role will involve shaping the CI/CD ecosystem and strengthening observability platforms to enhance system reliability. You will have the opportunity to influence engineering standards and future platform architecture, making a significant impact on the overall product development process.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will participate in team discussions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. You will mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge of best practices in infrastructure management and automation.
