Who you are

You have developed several Android apps using Kotlin and Java, showcasing your expertise in building robust applications. Your experience with Jetpack libraries, including Compose and Lifecycle, allows you to create modern and efficient user interfaces. You are familiar with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger and Hilt, which you use to manage your app's architecture effectively. Your knowledge of Retrofit and WorkManager enables you to handle network operations and background tasks seamlessly. You also have experience in testing Android applications using Espresso and Mockito, ensuring high-quality code through rigorous testing practices. You understand design patterns and apply them to create maintainable and scalable applications.

What you'll do

As a Senior Android Engineer at Babbel, you will design and maintain core Android platform components and shared modules that power multiple feature teams. You will drive architecture decisions and establish best practices to ensure scalable and high-quality Android development across teams. Your role will involve improving build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and performance tooling to enhance the overall development process. You will collaborate cross-functionally with UX designers and API developers to make informed decisions that impact user experience. Additionally, you will participate in a knowledge-sharing culture through code reviews, pair programming, and feature demonstrations, contributing to the continuous improvement of the technology stack and infrastructure of the Android app.
