You have a strong technical background in systems administration, with expertise in both Linux and Windows environments. Your experience includes designing and securing systems that support a global workforce, ensuring they are reliable and user-friendly. You thrive in hands-on roles where you can solve complex technical problems and improve systems at scale. You are approachable and engaged, ready to support employees when they need help. You are also eager to take on broader technical ownership while deepening your architectural and leadership skills.
You are familiar with leveraging AI tools to enhance IT operations, from troubleshooting to system design. You understand the importance of a great employee technology experience and are committed to delivering it. You are ready to partner closely with IT leadership and the business to thoughtfully scale the evolving environment.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is a plus. Familiarity with automation tools like Docker and scripting languages such as PowerShell will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the overall IT function.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, improve, and secure the systems that support BenchSci's global workforce. You will take pride in ensuring these systems are reliable and practical for daily use. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, implementing system improvements, and collaborating with IT leadership to align technology with business needs. You will also be involved in scaling the IT environment thoughtfully, ensuring that it meets the demands of a growing organization.
You will actively use AI tools to improve diagnostics, automate workflows, and enhance documentation. Your hands-on approach will be essential as you engage with employees to understand their technology needs and provide timely support. What we offer
BenchSci offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $115,000, reflecting our commitment to attracting top talent. We provide a flexible work environment with a minimum of two days in-office at our Toronto headquarters. You will be part of an AI-first organization that values innovation and collaboration.
