You are an experienced people manager and team leader with a strong background in software engineering. You thrive on growing and enabling your team to have the biggest impact possible, and you are passionate about creating simple solutions to complex problems. You have designed and built complex, mission-critical products and systems, witnessing their evolution from a single engineer to multiple teams. Your leadership style exemplifies high standards, a growth mindset, and teamwork, inspiring those around you to excel.
You possess fluency in both French and English, which allows you to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Your experience in the e-commerce sector, particularly in logistics, positions you well to understand the challenges independent brands face in competing with larger companies. You are excited about the opportunity to lead a tech-driven logistics platform that is transforming the industry.
Desirable

What you'll do
As the Head of Engineering, you will report directly to the co-CEO and collaborate closely with the Product team to define and implement the engineering strategy. You will be responsible for all aspects of software delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet the highest quality standards. Your role will involve recruiting top talent, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
You will lead the transition from a flat organizational structure to mission-defined teams, setting clear goals and expectations for your engineering staff. Your hands-on approach will allow you to stay engaged with the technical aspects of projects while also focusing on team development and performance management. You will work to enhance the customer experience by ensuring that the engineering team delivers high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the needs of over 500 brands.
What we offer
Bigblue offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of €110-150k and options valued at €100-200k.
