What you'll do

As the Head of Engineering at Smarkets, you will take the helm of a critical function that reports directly to the COO. Your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and scale high-performing engineering teams that are aligned with the company's mission to revolutionize the betting industry. You will drive architectural and strategic decisions that fuel long-term business growth, ensuring that the engineering team is equipped to deliver the best products and technology.

You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure that engineering efforts are aligned with product goals and customer needs. Your role will involve mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will also be responsible for implementing best practices in engineering processes and ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
