Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems at scale — you've owned services from design through deployment and have war stories from debugging complex distributed systems issues. You possess deep expertise in Java and Spring — you've shipped high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests and have strong opinions on service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies. You are familiar with designing and implementing security and data-protection capabilities, ensuring that the systems you build are robust and secure. You thrive in collaborative environments where your ideas are valued, and you are eager to contribute to a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will work on systems that sit at the core of Bureau's platform — designed for scale, speed, and reliability. You will design, build, and operate APIs and backend services that are low-latency, highly available, and performance-efficient. You will build a developer-first risk and fraud API ecosystem used by internal and external teams, owning features end-to-end — from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you develop meet the needs of the business and its customers. Your contributions will directly impact the security and compliance of the platform, helping to prevent digital fraud and enhance trust in online transactions.
