Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in Linux-based systems and a passion for open source technologies — your experience allows you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across various layers of the software stack. You thrive in a collaborative environment and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with customers and team members alike.
You are familiar with virtualization technologies such as KVM and containerization tools like Docker and LXC/LXD — your expertise extends to storage solutions like Ceph and Linux filesystems, as well as networking technologies including OVS and OVN. Your ability to debug and address software issues at any level of the stack makes you a valuable asset to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the final point of escalation for operational troubleshooting, driving issues to resolution with effective workarounds and fixes. You will maintain a close working relationship with Canonical's engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include resolving complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes, ensuring that our enterprise customers receive the highest level of support.
You will also contribute to the development of solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of our software-defined infrastructure. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements, as well as participating in knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
