You have a strong background in design research, with a focus on understanding user needs and translating them into actionable insights. Your experience includes conducting diverse user research methodologies and advocating for user-centered design principles within teams. You are skilled in fostering collaborative cultures around user research and are comfortable navigating organizational change to implement new frameworks and standards. You thrive in remote work environments and are adept at communicating effectively across distributed teams.
Desirable
Experience with open-source software or operating systems is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in user experience and design thinking. You are passionate about integrating user insights into product development and have a track record of influencing design processes positively.
What you'll do
As a Senior Design Researcher at Canonical, you will lead user research initiatives that inform product development across the company. You will develop user insights in various formats, ensuring that user needs are integrated into the design and development processes. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product teams to advocate for user-centered design and facilitate workshops that promote a culture of user research. You will also be responsible for analyzing research findings and presenting them to stakeholders to drive decision-making.
You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that user insights are not only gathered but also acted upon throughout the product lifecycle.
