Who you are
You are a recent graduate with coursework in Anthropology, Sociology, Design Research, or related fields — you thrive at the intersection of ethnography and systems thinking, eager to uncover insights and help teams make sense of complex information. You possess a high emotional intelligence for ethnographic research and have foundational skills in data science, allowing you to blend qualitative and quantitative approaches effectively. You are excited about working in a collaborative environment and are looking to grow your skills in applied research.
What you'll do
As a Junior Design Researcher at IDEO, you will partner with interdisciplinary teams to contribute to both qualitative and quantitative research sprints across a wide variety of industries, including health systems, fintech solutions, and consumer packaged goods. You will engage in ethnographic research, helping to uncover insights that will inform design strategies and product development. Your role will involve synthesizing research findings and guiding clients and teammates through the process of making meaning from the data collected. You will be part of a team that values curiosity and collaboration, contributing to projects that aim to create impactful products and services.
