What you'll do

As the Director of Data Science at Careem, you will lead a team of over 30 data scientists and machine learning engineers, driving the application of AI across the Everything App. You will define the vision and strategy for data science, ensuring that AI becomes a core competitive differentiator for Careem. Your role will involve shaping how Careem personalizes user experiences and optimizes marketplace dynamics through advanced machine learning techniques. You will oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models, ensuring they are scalable and effective in real-world applications. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify opportunities for AI integration, driving innovation that simplifies and enhances customer interactions. You will also be responsible for establishing best practices in data science and machine learning, ensuring high standards of quality and performance in all projects. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a data-driven culture within the organization, empowering teams to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
