Who you are
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience, demonstrating your expertise in the field. Your background includes extensive repairs and heavy engine work, showcasing your ability to handle complex automotive issues. You are skilled in advanced vehicle diagnostics and can effectively troubleshoot a variety of automotive problems. Your experience includes repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues, which is crucial for modern vehicles. You are familiar with installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems, ensuring that you can address a wide range of automotive needs. You are a team player who is committed to the mission of the company and is willing to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Desirable
While not required, any additional certifications such as ASE would be beneficial. Familiarity with electric and hybrid vehicles is a plus, as the automotive industry increasingly shifts towards these technologies.
What you'll do
As a Lead Auto Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring that they meet safety and performance standards. You will conduct advanced vehicle diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Your role will involve repairing advanced vehicle electrical systems, which are becoming increasingly complex in modern automobiles. You will also be tasked with installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems, which is essential for maintaining vehicle climate control systems. You will work in one of our high-tech Inspection Centers, utilizing state-of-the-art tools to perform your duties efficiently. Your commitment to quality and safety will be paramount as you work on all makes and models of vehicles, including electric and hybrid options. You will also have the opportunity to mentor entry-level technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
