Overview
Carvana is hiring a Security Associate to ensure the safety and security of associates, customers, and assets at their facility in Akron, NY. This role involves managing vehicle movements, conducting patrols, and adhering to safety protocols.
Job Description
Who you are
As a Security Associate, you will be an integral part of the Safe and Secure Team, executing programs and processes to protect associates, customers, and assets. You will be the face of Carvana at the gates, ensuring proper protocols are followed for egress and digress procedures. You will be well-versed in emergency procedures and able to provide assistance when needed. Strong communication skills and active listening are essential as you will lead effective dialogue with team members, partners, and customers.
You will conduct routine patrols of the Inspection Center and Logistics facility yard and buildings, documenting any security or safety concerns. Being trained and certified in life-saving measures such as first aid, CPR, and AED will be part of your responsibilities. You will partner with your Safe and Secure Team Lead and Safe and Secure Manager to address various requests, including badge creation and CCTV review, promoting an incident-ready focus every day at your site.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage and document the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates. You will ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to and that any incidents are handled according to the Incident Response Protocol. Your responsibilities will include de-escalating situations as needed and maintaining a secure environment for all associates and visitors. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the facility operates smoothly and safely, contributing to the overall mission of Carvana.
