You are proficient in Java and Spring, and you understand the intricacies of REST APIs and how to design them effectively. You are comfortable with high-scale challenges, having dealt with systems that handle significant traffic and numerous transactions. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you can navigate complex technical challenges with ease. You are open to feedback and eager to learn, always looking for ways to improve both your skills and the products you work on.
What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer at Catawiki, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on enhancing the platform's capabilities. You will work on various verticals, including Demand, Supply, and Fulfilment, contributing to the development of features that improve search and discovery, bidding processes, and logistics management. Your role will involve designing and implementing backend services that are robust and efficient, ensuring they can handle high traffic and numerous auctions.
You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to create seamless user experiences. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and participating in Agile ceremonies. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
