Security Engineer • Lead

Who you are

You have a strong background in technical security and consulting, with a focus on cloud technologies. Your experience includes leading technical investigations and collaborating with IT executives to accelerate the adoption of new technologies and practices. You are well-versed in designing and building highly scalable cloud-native applications on AWS, utilizing essential developer services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS. You understand new technological paradigms like serverless computing, containers, and microservices, and have experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices architectures.

You hold relevant AWS certifications, including AWS Certified Security Specialty and AWS Solution Architect certifications. Your understanding of security standards and best practices in AWS is comprehensive, allowing you to advise on the implementation of these practices effectively. You are passionate about influencing infrastructure architecture and sharing your development experience to enhance AWS Professional Services offerings.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead technical investigations and design efforts, working closely with business, development, and infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for designing and building scalable applications on AWS, leveraging services like API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB. Your role will involve advising clients on best practices for AWS implementation and influencing product strategy by representing developer needs to AWS teams. You will also guide the migration of applications from monolithic to microservices architectures, ensuring that security standards are met throughout the process.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you design meet both business and technical requirements. Your expertise will help shape the future of cloud security practices within the organization, and you will play a key role in mentoring other team members on AWS security practices and technologies.
