Who you are

You have 6+ years of experience building distributed systems and platform infrastructure — you've designed and implemented scalable platforms that support complex workflows and data management. Your strong expertise in database design and query optimization allows you to manage data at scale effectively.

You are proficient in modern technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js — your experience with these tools enables you to create robust APIs and developer tooling. You understand the importance of establishing best practices and are excited to implement them from the ground up.

Your operational instincts are strong — you excel in monitoring, alerting, debugging, and incident response, ensuring that systems remain reliable as they scale. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

You have startup experience and are familiar with building 0-to-1 products or scaling through hypergrowth — this background equips you with the agility and mindset needed to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Bonus points if you have experience with AI/ML infrastructure or have contributed to open source projects.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build core platform systems including data pipelines, integration frameworks, and API infrastructure — your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of Clarify's AI-native CRM. You will design scalable data models and storage strategies that support complex CRM workflows and AI capabilities.

You will establish observability, monitoring, and performance standards as the company scales to thousands of customers — your insights will help shape the technical strategy and ensure that the infrastructure can handle increased demand. You will create platform standards for API patterns, service design, testing frameworks, and deployment practices.

You will own critical technical decisions regarding infrastructure choices, architectural patterns, and technology selection — your pragmatic approach will balance innovation with business impact. Partnering closely with the founders, you will contribute to the technical strategy and execution, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of technology.
