You are proficient in modern technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js — your experience includes building developer-facing infrastructure like APIs and SDKs. You possess strong operational instincts, enabling you to establish observability, monitoring, and performance standards as systems scale.

Your communication skills are excellent — you can translate complex technical concepts for various audiences, ensuring alignment with stakeholders. You thrive in startup environments, having built products from the ground up or scaled through hypergrowth.

You are pragmatic in your technical decision-making — you balance technical excellence with business impact, making informed choices about infrastructure and architectural patterns. Bonus points if you have experience with AI/ML infrastructure or have contributed to open-source projects.

What you'll do

As a Backend Engineer at Clarify, you will build core platform systems, including data pipelines, integration frameworks, and API infrastructure. You will design scalable data models and storage strategies tailored for complex CRM workflows and AI capabilities. Your role will involve establishing platform standards, including API patterns, service design, testing frameworks, and deployment practices.

You will own critical technical decisions regarding infrastructure choices and technology selection, partnering closely with the founders on technical strategy. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability and reliability of the systems as we grow to serve thousands of customers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems you build meet the needs of both developers and end-users. Your work will include monitoring system performance, debugging issues, and responding to incidents to maintain high availability and reliability.
