You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development using Java. You have a proven track record of building production systems that are scalable and reliable, and you understand the intricacies of designing and optimizing server-side applications. Your expertise in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture allows you to create efficient and maintainable code that meets the needs of complex financial systems.

You are familiar with front-end technologies, particularly ReactJS, and can integrate UI components with backend services seamlessly. Your experience with event-driven architectures, especially using Apache Kafka, enables you to handle real-time data processing effectively. You are also comfortable deploying applications in cloud environments, specifically using Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring high availability and performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of Cleared Derivatives back-office applications. You will work closely with a project team to architect and develop server-side applications, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability. Your responsibilities will include implementing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, as well as contributing to front-end development with ReactJS.

You will be tasked with deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are highly available and performant. Your role will also involve optimizing application security and reliability, making sure that the systems you build can handle the demands of sophisticated investors.

As a lead developer, you will mentor junior team members and share your knowledge of best practices in software development. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the team's development processes. Your insights will help shape the technical direction of the projects you work on, and you will have the opportunity to influence the architecture of the systems you build.
